FAQs

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we most frequently receive. If you have a question that’s not listed here, please contact us by e-mail, or call us directly at (214) 869-0364, and we’ll be happy to answer it.

anchorred What should I bring for the sail?

Fall season in the evening can be cool, so a light jacket is a must. Swimming season is over for most people. Wear non marking shoes or sandals if you have them-- its easier on the boat and the Captain. Shoes are not required, but there are lots of things to stub your feet on. A hat is always nice, and don’t forget your sunscreen! We always have plenty on board, but you may have your own preference.

Bringing a camera is a MUST (the sunsets are gorgeuos from a boat), as well as any music you may want to listen to (MP3s, cds etc.). Foxy Roxy sails with Sirius satellite radio, so we have just about every music type available.

anchorred Do you provide food and drinks for your Morning/Afternoon Sails?

For two-three hour day sails, food is not provided unless requested. We do provide sodas, and mixers for margaritas, pina coladas, etc. We will be sure to have lots of ice on board. Accommodations for food can be made, but the restaurant fare is already nice. We would rather spend time sailing than cooking.

anchorred Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages for the sail?

YES!!!, we want you to have FUN and if you want to have a few “sundowners”, that’s fine with us. We will have plenty of ice aboard.

anchorred What are your safety guidelines?

We love to have fun, but your safety is our main concern. Foxy Roxy carries all USCG required safety equipment and adheres to a zero tolerance drug policy. Any drugs, disorderly conduct or irresponsible drinking will result in the immediate cancellation of the rest of the charter with no refund for the disorderly party.

anchorred Will bad weather/no wind/high wind cancel our sail?

If you walk outside on the day of the charter and the wind is blowing hard, smile….you’re gonna have a great sail! Lake Ray Hubbard has great wind most of the time, but can have lighter breezes during the summer. Still, too much wind rarely cancels a sail, and no wind ever cancels one. Whether there’s a strong wind or a light breeze, we will still show you a good time.

All sails are subject to weather conditions, and if the captain doesn’t feel comfortable about the wind or weather, you probably won’t either. If your sail is canceled due to inclement weather, we will be happy to reschedule for a later time.
